BIO

Amol Pawar is an Indian artist who experiments with various mediums and various forms,
colour schemes, and textures. Born in 1983, he is from Maharashtra and has degree in
Graphic Design from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalay, Pune.

Many of his paintings are a fusion of the abstract and figurative and they reveal his own rhythm of
life. His childhood memories of Rangoli patterns are reflected in his use of symbolism such as icons,
numbers, calligraphy and texture. He believes in the power of directional figure, or mentor, which
produces strength, vigour, such as the Sadhu, or even the Bull, powerful, breaking free, confronting

For Amol, the depiction of shakti displays the eternal power of love between man and woman. This
display of power is highlighted by his contrasting use of dark and light colours which adds dimension
and depth to the works.

His work is steeped in the Indian mythology and his love for calligraphy, texture, nature, and
animals, reflected in his work. If you see his series of paintings on “Sadhu” you will be stuck with his
choice of colors – the reds and yellows of the sunset and the impassive yet spiritual aura of the
subjects are not lost on the viewers.

He has done over 40 shows and has a name internationally as well. His work has been showcased in
London, Warsaw, Singapore and New York. Amol’s style and work are unique which make a
profound impact on viewer. A rising star in the world of Art, he lives and works in pune.
