Srinivasa Rao Potelu works explore the relation between form, colour and process to brood- over the thoughts and evoke emotions in a poetic, non-linear fashion. Inspite of its abstruse forms, his liberation is to bubble over the contemporary situations by addressing the concepts that are intangible and theoretical, existing in the realms of mind and spirit rather than the outer reality. He loves to depict through his metaphysical intuition to break away from traditional representation of physical objects which transmits discernible forms. As a vehement handler of colours it is like a conscientious journey into his metaphysical world.
Srinivasa Rao Potelu done his post- graduation in painting from the University of Mysore and he has don graduation in painting from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He has held four solo exhibitions: Introspection at Achalam Art Gallery, Chennai, Philo-scapes, Gallery Space, Hyderabad and Painted Prayers at Travancore Art Gallery, New Delhi and the A.U. Hall, Visakhapatnam.
He participated in a number of group shows such as The Pursuit of Meaning, a travel group show. WavesAcross an international group exhibition, Hyderabad. Virtuoso 9 – an artists’ meet conducted by Dhoomimal Gallery, New Delhi. Art for Cause conducted by Mytrah Group at Taj Krishna, Hyderabad. Phalak by GATI Logistics, Hyderabad. Hud Hud Relief show at Gallery Space, Hyderabad. Group Show at KLARTEXT Gallery, Munich, Germany and Lokayata Art Gallery, New Delhi. He curated the International Art Conclave at Thrupti Resorts, Rajam, Visakhapatnam and the Blue-Storm International Art Symposium at Visakha Museum, Visakhapatnam. He attended the Wabi-Sabi international artist’s residency at Kaaya Learning Centre, Dehradun
